    Karen Neuman Named New DHS Chief Privacy Officer

    The Department of Homeland Security has announced that Karen Neuman, a partner in the D.C. law firm of St. Ledger-Roty Neuman & Olson, will be its new Chief Privacy Officer. Neuman’s law firm bio is here. Neuman replaces Jonathan Cantor, who has had the title of Acting Chief Privacy Officer. Cantor took the position in August 2012, when Mary Ellen Callahan stepped down to join the D.C. firm of Jenner and Block.
